Trend Report: Key Fashion Trends For Autumn/Winter 2015
With summer nearly at its end, we are getting excited about the new fashion styles arriving at AlibiOnline filled with on-trend pieces to get you through the trans-seasonal month ahead.
Luxe monochrome is still key for Autumn/Winter, with lots of black and white tones worn on their own, or infused into subtle prints. Sporty styles are still massive, with brands re-creating casual wear to include relaxed fit pants, mesh panelling, tanks and bomber jackets for women with unique fabric splicing and pops of colour.
Looking to the past yet again for inspiration, 70’s styling is a huge undertone, with man style jackets, wide leg pants, faux fur, denim and more making their way into our wardrobes for Autumn/Winter 2015.
As for silhouettes and shapes, plenty of streamlined looks are completed with voluminous tailoring, draping, splicing worked with body-con separates. The crop is still in, as are midi, knee-length and thigh grazing hemlines.
Some of Autumn/Winter 2015 biggest fashion trends are:
Boho-Chic: Loose silhouettes with dark bloom floral prints in both jumpsuits with wide legs, camis and shift women’s dresses online are injecting a boho feel into our style.
Sports-Luxe: We love this trend! Comfort meets style, with leggings worn with basic tees, sneakers and bomber jackets, ideal for the weekend or busy mornings running errands.
Pops of colours: Cobalt and red are key this season, working their way into subtle prints or worn boldly on their own. We love layering blue with monochromatic tones for a stylish contrast. Other colour trends include blush pinks, teal and orange.
Texture: Whether you’re laying up with plenty of women’s knitwear or gorgeous tops and trench coats, it’s all about texture for Autumn/Winter 2015. Play with cable knits, mesh, leather and chiffon to create a fascinating blend.
The 60’s and 70’s: We reported to you earlier that the sixties and seventies are back and we weren’t lying. Culottes are now a work staple and look amazing worn with a structured cami and court heels. Feminine shift dresses are teamed with denim jackets for a more casual take on the old-school trend.
Cut-Outs: Whether you’re going for the cropped look or rocking a midi, it’s all about the cut-outs! Introduce your fashion style to geometry with delicately placed cut-outs in circle, triangle or square shapes. Integrated into women’s tops, dresses and more, this season is all about showing a touch of skin without going overboard.
