Style Tips: What To Wear On Anzac Day
One of Australia’s most iconic days of tribute is Anzac Day, a day to remember, to rejoice and to pay tribute to the brave soldiers that fought in Gallipoli in 1915.
It is the day on which we remember Australians who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations. The spirit of Anzac, with its human qualities of courage, mateship, and sacrifice, continues to have meaning and relevance for our sense of national identity.
So whether you are heading down for a chilly dawn service, out to lunch with the family, to the races or having a family function…we’ve got everything you need to wear throughout your Anzac day and long weekend celebrations.
What to wear on Anzac Day
Head down to Flemington Racecourse for a traditional tribute to the courageous men and women who have served our nation. Dress up in an amazing printed dress or a classic LBD and team with a gorgeous clutch and statement accessories.
The Dawn Service:
Drawing on military tradition, the Anzac Day dawn service is an almost 100-year-old tradition, where current and past service men and women, families and children join together to honour the services of the men and women who have and continue to fight for our country. Starting as early as 6am, the dawn service is all about being comfortable and warm. Layer up in relaxed knits and jackets for women with easy-to-wear pants.
Join together with friends and family for a traditional wintery luncheon, or head down to your local RSL for a pub lunch and entertainment. Try an easy-to-wear womens dress teamed with a parka jacket and an animal print scarf.
