Sneak Peek At The Biggest Trends From MBFWA 2015
It was a whirlwind week at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia, with all our favourite designers, brands and trends talking the catwalk by a storm to show off key looks and styles for the spring/summer 2015 season.
From touches of gold, denim on denim, to sleek silhouettes, monochrome and classic styling, there was plenty for everyone at MBFWA 2015 leaving us excited about the warm weather to come later this year.
Celebrities, bloggers and street style gurus took to Carriageworks at Sydney to showcase their own version of current and future trends, with bold colours, matching statement separates and artful layering key from Fashion Blogger TV stars like Sarah Donaldson, Zanita and Kate Waterhouse, as well as off-duty models like Elyse Knowles and Gemma Ward re-inventing classic styling at its best.
From catwalk to street, some of the biggest trends to come out of fashion week in Sydney are:
- Denim on denim
- Touches of gold and metallics
- Burnt orange
- Sleek silhouettes
- 90’s minimalism
- Thigh-high splits
- Off-the-shoulder necklines
- Pops of colour
Some of our favourite brands have already welcomed these spring summer 2015/16 trends into their winter collections, including Sass and Fate, whose love of monochrome, metallic prints and knitwear teamed with pops of colour are the perfect way to start wearing next season’s trends now.
