Just wanted to share a very special story with you.
Our daughter has been a volunteer at a Hospice for a number of months and has grown particularly close to a lovely lady named Theresa who has been suffering from Motor Neuron Disease (otherwise known as ALS). This is a degenerative disease that affects the control the voluntary muscles of the trunk and limbs, and affect speech, swallowing and breathing. This leads to gradual paralysis, loss of speech, difficulty swallowing and eventual death from respiratory (breathing) failure.
Over time Theresa, who is a lover of womens fashion, became a really good customer and a friend of all at AlibiOnline. Even though Theresa felt awful most days, she still really loved looking good and ordered all the latest fashion online. She also had someone come and do her makeup every day just so that when she looked in the mirror she still felt like the beautiful woman she has always been.
Recently Theresa’s illness had started to degenerate really quickly and unfortunately she started to lose her speech. Her beautiful volunteers and family were called and were helping her through this difficult time.
During this very difficult time I got a call from Julie, Theresa’s sister, to say that Theresa had decided what she would like to wear to her own funeral.
Theresa had always been a lover of maxi dresses and anything boho. Julie asked me to find an easy breezy boho cheesecloth top in white with a slight pattern or embroidery and a pair of white pants.
Of course we wanted Theresa to have her wish and I went into the warehouse immediately to check our stock.
My Sass and Fate orders had just arrived that morning and I had not even seen what was inside the box. I quickly went through everything and surprisingly found a top that fitted the exact description.
I pulled it out of the box and was astounded to find that the top was called “The Forget Me Not Blouse by FATE”
We showed it to Theresa and the family and they were absolutely thrilled.
Sadly Theresa passed away recently but we all made her dying wish come true.
So thanks to everyone who had a hand in making this a very special story. One that all at AlibiOnline will remember for a long time to come. We certainly won’t forget you.
Safe travels Theresa…
