Crisp Whites:

It’s time to brighten up your typically dark and moody colour palette for Autumn and Winter with fresh and crisp whites. If you’re brave and bold enough, wear white from head-to-toe, including everything from white jeans to a feminine blouse for the weekend, or a tailored knee-length skirt and fitted shirt for the office.

The best tip when styling white is to choose minimal accessories if you are going for a timeless look – so gold or silver hardware and nude or black heels and bags. If you want to add a little colour and keep the summer fun going strong, contrast with bold pops of colour in a bold lip or clutch.

Khaki and Spicy Tones:

One of our favourite trends for Autumn and Winter 2016 is the injection of khaki and spicy tones adding a refreshing touch of colour into monochrome styles. Khaki and spicy tones in camel, rust, burnt orange look great worn with white or black for a good contrast. Keep accessories minimal and add structure to your look for a great urban military style.

Key styles include tailored dresses with pockets, statement zips and waist-tie ups, along with waterfall jackets, tailored vests and roll-neck tops.

If you have a big bust, steer clear of roll-neck tops and instead opt for cross-over v-shaped necklines on blouses or dresses. For curvy girls, wear a gathered dress with an empire or mid-waist seam and a fitted jacket to add structure to your look. Petite girls look great in long layers of these colours, so try a sleeveless vest over an A-line skirt or tailored dress.

Longlines:

Thanks to the cooler season, layering is key which makes longlines a perfect and flattering fit for just about anyone. Trench coats, long tunics, relaxed fit dresses… the list goes on for what styles you could wear. The tip is to add subtle structure into these longline looks, with waist-tie ups and uneven hemlines. Remember when layering to choose one fitted item otherwise you will get lost under the clothes! If you want to accent your waist – try a belted jacket around the mid-waist, or if you want to cover up your thighs and bottom, stick to long tunics with skinny pants or leggings.

We love rocking similar tones and colours, like slate, grey and white, or blush pinks, camels and nudes.

Dark Bohemian:

If you’re an edgy kind of women, dark bohemian adds all the glam you could ever want! Wine colours, emerald green and of course plenty of black are shown in feminine dresses, netted spliced tops and silk blouses.

Layering this trend works wonders, sticking to similar tones and colours as mentioned above or you can make the darker hues and fabrics pop with fresh white.

Choose shift dresses, blouses with lace paneling or oversized tees and don’t be afraid to layer on silver jewellery like rings and necklaces or add chunky heeled boots and extra drama with a dark lip.

If you are petite, add volume with bell-sleeved tops and dresses and lengthen the legs with midi-length hemlines. If you’re tall don’t be afraid to try shorter A-line skirts or dresses and add tights for those cooler days.
