Back to Work Style Guide – Part 1
Summer holidays are nearing an end, and if you’re like many of us, you will be getting ready to head back to work and get into the swing of things!
That means planning new outfits to wear whether you’re located in an office, school and just about everywhere in-between!
If you’re after some more inspiration on what to wear to work, we’ve got your total style guide for what to ditch and what to invest in now.
Stick to neutrals:
If you’re ever in doubt of what to fill your work wardrobe with, we always recommend sticking to neutrals. These tones are timeless and classy and make it easier for you to mix and match every day.
Sticking to neutrals like black, navy, grey, cream, white and taupe and subtle prints means you can wear the same styles over and over again and people are less likely to notice. Bonus!
Know what to spend money on:
Don’t be afraid to splurge a bit and buy yourself those tailored pants and fitted blazer, but when it comes to dresses or tops, cheaper styles are ok too. Purchasing more affordable styles is ideal when you’re buying more on-trend pieces as it won’t break the bank if styles change and you no longer want to wear the items.
Remember your personal style:
When you’re at work you want to feel as comfortable and as confident as possible and what better way to do than then by starting with an outfit that makes you feel great.
Remember to identify the pieces and styles that make YOU feel and look great and choose them. This will save you spending money on wasted items that you never end up wearing.
A good way to do this is to write down the items you always wear and the reasons why. Perhaps it’s the colour or the fit? Or the fabric? Bring that list with you when you go shopping and try to purchase items that tick all those things off.
